What I learned from alabama

When you shoot a three, you can be very aggressive getting the offensive rebound. You should be able to get 30% of those by sending three to the glass.

When you shoot a two, you have a great chance of rebounding out of the dunker spot...

So threes. send three.

Twos, send two, and the halo gets back.

Who I am as a Coach

The wins and losses are for the players... I want the wins, but only because I want them for the players.

My moms a teacher and my dads an architect. All I want to do is build something that people can be proud of and team them to be their best at something they are passionate about.

How I Want to Coach

Andy Reid

1. Put the players in positions to succeed

2. Prove to them that they are an important piece of the group

3. Be honest and shoot them straight with what you see, right or wrong.

4. Build Trust. Do what you say you are going to to do and be consistent.

5. Players want to be coached. Coach them to maximize their ability. That is what they want.

6. Establish a leadership committee where players can air their concerns. Follow through on these concerns as a way to minimize distractions.

7. Take the blame for putting players in poor spots.

8. When the players put the work in, he treats them with respect.

Its This Simple

(1) "The strength of the wolf is the pack and the strength of the pack is the wolf"
- give to the group and trust that it will come back to you
(2) Defensive Accountability
- you have to defend to get onto the floor
(3) Offensive Unselfishness
- the open man gets the shot
(4) Trust the Process
- just do what you are supposed to do, when its time to do it
- be present
(5) Build a Ventilation System
- everyone in the program will need to vent. it is human.
- funneling this human fact in a positive direction is the key.
(5) Recruit Length
- find the longest wingspans with the most defensive ability and potential to develop skill possible
